Art Night returns to Venice: discover the program for Saturday October, 2

On the night of October 2, Venice lights up with a series of art events. This will be the tenth edition of Art Night Venezia.

This year it was decided to organize this evening in conjunction with the Parisian Nuit Blanche, with which it is twinned. Access to the various appointments, allowed with a green pass and mask, that will populate the city can only be made by booking through the Mypass Venice app (more information, including the complete program, on Ca ‘Foscari University website).

The events will start in the afternoon of October 2nd and last until 11 pm, developing in the area of ​​Venice and Mestre, giving everyone the opportunity to visit the attractions of the city for free.

On this occasion, there are many events not to be missed: from the Church of the Pietà in Castello where guided tours will be organized and then a concert (at 9 pm), at the Malibran Theater in Cannaregio where short guided tours will be held on the occasion of this opening. extraordinary.

In addition, institutions will also offer the opportunity to visit the exhibition projects of the moment, such as Palazzo Grassi and Punta della Dogana, the Querini Stampalia Foundation and the Prada Foundation with the “Stop Painting” exhibition, and Palazzo Cini, with a visit to the Gallery and the exhibition ” Piranesi Roma Basilico “.

For those who want to take advantage of a breathtaking view of Venice, among the places not to be missed are the beloved terrace of the Fondaco dei Tedeschi in San Marco or the Giorgio Cini Foundation on the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore, from where you can enjoy a view different and original of the city, admiring its skyline.

This evening is, as the title already anticipates, an evening dedicated to art in all its forms: from the guest photography of the Casa dei Tre Oci in Giudecca where guided tours will be organized to D3082, an artistic space for meetings and exhibitions dedicated to female creativity in all its forms, where it will be possible to visit “Weaving Poetry”.

Private galleries such as Marignana Arte will also be actively involved, with a collective exhibition dedicated to memory (“Memory is a whimsical and bizarre being, comparable to a young girl”) and the parallel project “Roots”, or the Michela Rizzo Gallery, with the inauguration of the monographic on Mauro Ghiglione as well as the possibility of exploring the exhibition dedicated to Claudio Costa and Hermann Nitsch.

During the evening it will also be possible to visit museums in the islands around Venice, such as the Asylum Museum on the Island of San Servolo or the Torcello Museum on the island of the same name.

The intent of this event, as explained by Silvia Burini, scientific director of Art Night Venezia, is to involve the city’s institutions again after the pandemic.
